24TH ANNUAL CANDACE E. DIXON MEMORIAL RIDE-A-THON
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2008
*The proceeds from the Ride-a-thon will help to provide horseback riding lessons for disabled children and adults through Pioneer Valley Therapeutic Association, Inc. PVTRA is a tax deductible, nonprofit organization.
*The ride will start rain or shine at the Swift River Sportsman's Club on Moore Road in Belchertown. Riders and walkers can begin leaving before 9:00 am to avoid the Turkey Shoot. There will be a 15-mile and a 3-mile marked trail for riders and walkers. Riders choosing the 15-mile ride should leave by 10:00 am to be back in time for the chicken dinner.
*Each participant is asked to contribute a minimum of $35.00 in pledges in each division. Divisions: Children (to age 12), Juniors (13-18), Adults (19 and up).
*Judged Pleasure Ride: Please indicate on your entry form if you wish to participate in the 15 mile, Judged pleasure ride. This is a fun ride and ribbons will be awarded. The top rider in each division will also receive a prize. Divisions are Junior(to 18) and Senior (19 and up).
*Please pre-register by sending your REGISTRATION FORM to PVTRA, PO BOX 994, BELCHERTOWN, MA 01007 or by calling Pat at 413-668-8260, email address P50Barry@AOL.COM no later than one week prior to the ride so that enough food will be available.
*The Swift River Sportsman's Club will be preparing a chicken dinner for all the participants. Let us know if you are a vegetarian. Riders, walkers and cyclists are also welcome the day of the ride. Pre-registration secures your lunch.
PLEASE NOTE: RIDERS ARE EXPECTED TO WEAR APPROPRIATE HEADGEAR AND FOOTWEAR
